Bit of a fake-out from the TCR crew back in 1973, as Jim Aparo was not the new artist for Captain Marvel announced in this issue. That would be Bob Oksner, with Kurt Schaffenberger set to do fill-ins, replacing creator C.C. Beck after his famous disagreement with DC over how to handle the character. Aparo sure would have been an interesting choice. I think the only other place I've seen him draw Cap was on the covers of some WORLD'S FINEST issues.
